Spring Breathing - Virtual Wellness Series

5:00 PM - 5:45 PM

Event Details

Join us for a new virtual wellness series, Spring Breathing! This is a four-week series. Feel free to join us for one session or all four! All are welcome!

During these 45-minute virtual sessions, participants will learn about the nature of mind and how to manage emotions. Each session will include a guided relaxation through breathing techniques followed by guided meditation to experience stillness. Breathing techniques and meditation are known to improve depression, anxiety, stress and bring more positivity and social connectedness.

Prior to the meditation session, Shubhada recommends:

- sit in a quiet well lighted place

- we will be doing vigorous breathing so it is recommended to not have a heavy meal before the session. A light snack half hour before is ok

- keep video ON so that the instructor can check if breathing is done correctly

This program will be led by Shubhada Dantale. To learn more about her and her approach to meditation, you can read this article from the Columbia Basin Herald.

All NCW Libraries program events are free and open to the public, no prior experience is needed! This program will be held through the Zoom digital meeting platform. Registrants will receive an email with the Zoom meeting information.
