Event Details

Connect with authors online through NCW Virtual Reads!

This event in partnership with Wenatchee Valley College will feature Yasmin Ramirez, a Mexican American writer from El Paso whose debut memoir was released on April 19, 2022, from Cinco Puntos Press, an imprint of Lee & Low Books. Her debut memoir, ¡Ándale Prieta!, delicately shows us the experience of a young Latina growing up on the U.S-Mexico Border and subsequent years searching for herself and fulfillment after the passing of her grandmother Ita. She is an Assistant Professor of English, Creative Writing, and Chicanx Literature at El Paso Community College.

All NCW Virtual Reads events are free and open to the public. Events will be held through the Zoom digital meeting platform. To participate, register here. Registrants will receive an email with the Zoom meeting information.

During each event, attendees will hear from the author and then have an opportunity to submit questions through the chat feature for the author to answer live.
