Join us on Wednesday, May 25 at 7PM for a conversation about breast cancer. Drs. Catherine Straub and Julie Smith will take a look at Breast Cancer risk, screening, treatment, and beyond. This talk will include discussion of surveillance including Mammography and other imaging modalities.  In addition they will discuss surgical management of breast cancer including reconstructive options as well as role of chemotherapy, radiation and hormone blockade.

Dr. Straub trained at the University of Utah and has been practicing in Wenatchee as part of Confluence Health for almost 11 years.  Her areas of interest include surgical oncology including breast and pancreas cancer as well as robotics and hernia repairs.  She has a specific interest in guiding women and their loved ones through the complexities of the initial breast cancer diagnosis and management. 

Dr. Smith is a Medical Oncologist who has practiced in Wenatchee at Confluence Health for 23 years, including long term outreach clinics in Omak and Moses Lake.  Dr. Smith is the Medical Director of the Oncology Service Line at Confluence Health.  Medical Interests of Dr. Smith include management of patients with both blood cancers and solid tumors, screening and prevention of cancers, and long term cancer survivorship.
