Join us on Wednesday, May 11 at 7PM for a conversation about sleep with Dr. Ankur Patel, MD. This discussion will be a brief overview of topics that might fall into the subject of sleep, or in the purview of a sleep medicine specialist, and how any of that has to do with general wellness and good health. There will be a focus on optimizing sleep habits and a few take-home ideas to practice, in order to help chase the highly-sought-after great night’s rest. Some recommendations will also be provided to raise awareness of signs or symptoms that might warrant a further discussion with your PCP for a sleep-related issue.
Dr. Ankur Patel is a specialist in sleep medicine with a deep passion for all things related to a good night’s sleep. He recently transplanted to the area, drawn in first by the natural beauty and lured in more so by the people. His journey began on the East Coast, took him to various places to gain invaluable experience, and ended up with him finding a wonderful place to call home in Wenatchee with his wife and daughter. Professionally, he enjoys all manner of sleep topics, but has a unique interest in circadian rhythms (and body rhythms, in general), breathing and pattern changes during sleep, unusual behaviors at nighttime, and the development of sleep in all people starting from the age of 0.
All NCW Libraries events are free and open to the public. All participants must abide by the NCW Libraries Code of Conduct.
