Animal Fables and Facts: Flying Horses, Freezing Frogs, and Other Marvels of the Natural World

Can a frog survive being frozen in a block of ice? Do winged horses actually exist? What about egg laying mammals and fishes that fall like rain from the sky? Join naturalist David George Gordon as he takes you on a guided tour of a bestiary of extraordinary animals, both real and imagined. All ages and interests are welcome! 

All NCRL virtual events are free and open to the public. Events are held through the Zoom digital platform. To participate, register here. Once you register, an email will be sent to you with the Zoom event details and link. During each event, attendees will hear from the presenter and have an opportunity to submit questions through the chat feature for the author to answer live.
 
David George Gordon is the author of The Sasquatch Seeker's Field Manual and 19 other titles on everything from cockroaches to gray whales. He has spoken at the Smithsonian Institution, American Museum of Natural History, Yale University, and Ripley's Believe It or Not! museums in Hollywood and Times Square. He's appeared on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, The Late Late Show with James Cordon and The View. He loves a good animal mystery.
